Us, Healing Matriarchs
Our founding members, board of directors, and officers are daughters of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs with a common denominator: resilience.
Daughters, sisters, mothers, aunts, godmothers, grandmothers, and great -grandmothers, who are survivors with lived experience with: poverty; behavioral health issues; intergenerational trauma; substance abuse; sexual assault; domestic violence; murdered loved ones; incarceration; parental mental illness; homelessness; and victimization by violence.

Nicole "Niikkii" Philyaw is a survivor of many ACEs, starting with her father being wrongfully killed by police when she was 10.
The mother of three sons, Niikkii has lived experience with many challenges, and overcome every obstacle. As an AFH Administrator/NAC, and nursing student, Niikkii is capable of connecting with people of all age
Nicole "Niikkii" Philyaw is a survivor of many ACEs, starting with her father being wrongfully killed by police when she was 10.
The mother of three sons, Niikkii has lived experience with many challenges, and overcome every obstacle. As an AFH Administrator/NAC, and nursing student, Niikkii is capable of connecting with people of all ages, and demographics.
Additionally, Niikkii shares decades of customer service and management skills with Greatest Matriarchs volunteers. She also complements our events and content marketing with her photography and digital marketing skills.
